After studying sociology and a career as a musician in various groups (l'Attirail, the Hip-Hop singer BAMS, Edgar de l'est, Jack the Ripper), Alice Guerlot-Kourouklis has been devoting herself for more than 15 years to composition and sound creation for exhibitions, sound creations and installations (Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Musée Marmottan, Festival Internationale de la photographie d'Arles, Le magazine du Jeu de Paume, La Cité Internationale de la dentelle et de la mode de Calais). A self-taught composer, she focuses on the exploration of sound textures, as well as the porosity of musical aesthetics.
Endowed with a beautiful creativity, she has developed a singular musical language and composed about thirty film scores for Cézame. She has also created sound creations for video or sound installations, composed for the performing arts, or the contemporary dance show Plume.
In 2016 she created the IAKERI collective with Jimena Royo- Letelier with whom she shares artistic direction. In 2018, she participated in the creation of the l’OWO, Open Women Orchestra at the Cube, which will perform at the Théâtre de Vanves in May 2019.
